The Freshwater Society is a non-profit dedicated to preserving freshwater resources throughout the midwest. They engaged Bolin Zwieg to execute a brand refresh to elevate their awareness, reflect a new mission and contemporize their image.

Bolin Zwieg Approach

Refreshing the brand included an updated logo as well as a new brand story and refined mission statement.

By removing the word ‘society’ from the name, simplifying the iconography and introducing a new ownable graphic symbol, Bolin created a contemporary look for the nonprofit which extended throughout the organization and its marketing materials.

The new branding has been implemented across the organization’s various fundraising, programs, and outreach efforts.

A refreshed website was created with a simplified fundraising/donation experience which has dramatically increased the percentage of online donations received. The iconic blue droplet in the logo has been incorporated into many additional applications further expanding the reach and awareness of the Freshwater brand.
